a slim pair of hinged mistwood hands

>look at hands

The pair of slender hands, carved from pale mistwood, are joined along their smallest fingers by tiny silver hinges.  Across the palm, each hand bears a painted winter scene.  The left shows a white-robed priest and plate-clad paladin kneeling amid a circle of snow-capped pillars, while the right depicts an herbalist brushing the frost from a cluster of acantha leaves.  Two green silk ribbons allow the hands to be bound closed, concealing the art within, but they currently hang loose.

There appears to be something written on it.
